Pilates
Pilates may be tricky to pronounce, but the ideas that led to its creation are simple and logical. Developed in the early 1900’s by Joseph Pilates, this method came from one man’s theory that non-impact concentrated strengthening of the core, abdominals, and back muscles—thus creating stability throughout the torso—was the key to full body health. By thoughtfully conditioning the body’s core, we gain balance, stability, and control of the limbs. If you’re seeking a balanced body and/or a little flavor in a tired workout routine, this is a great place to start.
